Questions to ask us
Our answers to the questions in our Form CRS (client relationship summary).
Given my financial situation, should I choose an investment advisory service? Why or why not?
Huntsman may fit you if you want rule-based agents to trade part of your own brokerage or exchange account, are comfortable with stocks, ETFs and crypto assets and their risk of loss, and want to set your own limits. It may not fit you if you need a full financial plan, advice on retirement or taxes, a person to talk to about your investments, or if you cannot afford to lose the money you would assign to an agent. The app asks about your goals, experience, finances and risk tolerance and shows which agents fit your answers. You can try any agent in a practice account first.
How will you choose investments to recommend to me?
No person chooses them. Each agent's written rules decide what to buy or sell, how much and when, using prices and the information sources it is allowed to read. The app shows which library agents fit your profile. The app can test agents on past prices; those results are simulated, not real. You can read every rule before you turn an agent on.
What is your relevant experience, including your licenses, education and other qualifications? What do these qualifications mean?
Huntsman has applied to register with the SEC as an investment adviser; registration does not imply a certain level of skill or training. Our owner and Chief Compliance Officer, Armaan Daryanani, designs and supervises the software. He does not hold a securities license such as the Series 65. No person at Huntsman gives clients personal advice.
If I give you $10,000 to invest, how much will go to fees and costs, and how much will be invested for me?
All $10,000 stays in your own account; Huntsman's fee is not taken from it. Huntsman's fee is billed separately to your Apple account: on the Starter plan, $29.99 a month, which is $359.88 a year (about 3.6% of $10,000); on Pro, $719.88 (about 7.2%); on Max, $1,199.88 (about 12.0%). Your broker's or exchange's trading costs, spreads and ETF expenses are extra and depend on how often your agents trade. Fees and costs reduce your returns whether you make or lose money.
(Math: 12 x $29.99 = $359.88; 12 x $59.99 = $719.88; 12 x $99.99 = $1,199.88.)
How might your conflicts of interest affect me, and how will you address them?
We built every library agent, and we earn more when you stay subscribed or upgrade. These could push us to favor our own agents or make them look better than they are. We address this by charging the same flat fee whatever agents you run, labeling every test and practice result as simulated, showing every agent's full rules and risks, requiring our Chief Compliance Officer to review marketing before it is published, and taking no payments from brokers or exchanges.
As a financial professional, do you have any disciplinary history? For what type of conduct?
No. Neither Huntsman nor its owner has any legal or disciplinary history. You can check at Investor.gov/CRS.
Who is my primary contact person? Is he or she a representative of an investment adviser or a broker-dealer? Who can I talk to if I have concerns about how this person is treating me?
Huntsman gives advice only through its app, so you do not have a personal adviser. For technical or account help, contact support@gethuntsman.com. For concerns about how you are treated, contact our Chief Compliance Officer, Armaan Daryanani, at armaan@gethuntsman.com. You can also contact the SEC's Office of Investor Education and Advocacy (sec.gov/tcr or 800-732-0330) or the Alabama Securities Commission (asc.alabama.gov).
